The Royal British Legion in North
Staffordshire is the leading Ex-Service Organisation in the County.
Our principal concern is the welfare of ex-Service people and their
dependants, with around 10.5 million people in the UK eligible for
that support. Around 300,000 calls on the Legion are made each year,
from people of all ages in need of help.
The Royal British Legion in North Staffordshire has a presence from
Golden Hill & Sandyford in the north to Burton-upon-Trent in the
south, consisting of 31 Branches, 4 Groups, 4 Clubs and over 2,500
members around the County.
The County offices are in Stafford on Stafford Technology Park,
where the 'Our County Team' are based. Most if not all the main
County Officials can be contacted by telephone and or email.
The County Team run and administer the county they are also your
front line contacts to provide financial, welfare, emotional and
social support to the ex-service population within North
Staffordshire.
We raise money to fund our welfare work through direct mail, on-line
donations, special events, in 2007 we held our first of what we hope
will be an annual fund
raising lunch on St. Georges Day. The single biggest source of
income is the annual Poppy Appeal, run with the support of the
general public and the dedication of the county volunteers.
