TEAN BRANCH – REMEMBERING THE RECENT FALLEN

On Remembrance Sunday, members of the Team Branch of the Royal British Legion were joined by uniformed youth groups and the public at the War Memorial in the Church Yard, where the homage and silence were observed. They then moved into the Parish church for a service of Remembrance led by the Branch and County Chaplain, and addressed by the Parish Reader, Mr. Keith Perrin.

Mr. Perrin had set up in the Church a new memorial – which carries (in a frame) the names of all those members of Her Majesty’s armed forces killed in the present conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over a hundred and fifty names appeared on the roll, and new names will be added if and when necessary. Thanksgiving was made for those who had paid the supreme sacrifice, and prayer was said for those still serving in these war zones.
